RailsConf in Chicago This June

Tickets are going fast for the first official RailsConf, which runs June 22nd through 25th in Chicago. They already have some amazing keynote speakers lined up. If you plan to go, you better hurry!

I submitted two proposals for talks, and at this point, of course, I can’t say whether either will be accepted. But I’ll be there either way. I hope you will be, too.

(As an aside, my first “hey, I can think again!” post was premature, and I apologize for six+ weeks with no useful Rails/Ruby content. Since then, it’s been a struggle to even stay awake and think straight enough to do my work at work, much less stuff after I get home. But now, two mega-courses of antibiotics later, I actually do feel mostly human again. I am hard at work on a Ruby article which I will be posting soon.)

You were accepted to Canada on Rails with no proposal at all! Just your mere existence was enough to convince them!

Hopefully you have similar powers over the RailsConf organizers.

Haha, Geoffrey/topfunky has it nailed 🙂

Good luck on the RailConf proposals. (By the way I do need your updated proposal soon as you are feeling better! 🙂 ..)

Glad you’re feeling better Amy. Can’t wait to read your next article.

I’m over due as well for my next technical article.
