web|works content, part 1
Well, I haven't decided the best way to export my slideshow yet since my pretty diagrams and such somehow resulted in a 40 meg Flash file. Wow. But what I will probably do is one PDF export and a couple of different Quicktime types. So, stay tuned to this location... I'll post it tonight.
In the mean time, all the links I mentioned (and some more):
Forms
- QuirksModes Forms Cool Javascript controls for interactive forms
- CSS-Only, Table-less Forms (Jeff Howden Shiny, pretty, CSS.
- LukeW The one I mentioned, and other articles on LukeW's site
Misc
- GUUUI Good UI site
- Jakob Nielsen's UseIt Good science, but his wide-ranging recommendations to be taken with a grain of realism salt
- GUIdebook User Interface Gallery
- 37Better Project
- "Find the Epicenter" (37Signals) Their best post on starting UI design
- Ask Tog Tog was one of the first UI designers at Apple & is widely respected
- Ajax Mistakes
User Interaction Design Patterns
- weelie.com -- patterns in Interaction Design
- User Interface Design Patterns (Helsinki)
- UI Patterns and Techniques Also being published by O'Reilly later this year

Great links, thanks. I'm always so frustrated with the way that forms are laid out now. specifically, "lets just throw every single field we can think of into a 5 page checkout process."
good info!
regarding forms, if i may shamelessly self-promote my XHTML-compliant client-side form validation library:
