Cool Stuff Round-up
Just to balance off the intense Amy-centricism of the previous post, I'd like to have a little linkapalooza of cool stuff from other people which you'll want to check out.
- Faster TDD with Rails promises, well, faster TDD with Rails. Florian's new approach eliminates a lot of the cruft when running tests on Rails apps by bypassing the initial loading of the whole Rails environment. Instead, it preloads. Woo.
- Design Trumps TDD And a dissenting opinion! My friend Obie has written this thought-provoking article about behavior-driven development potential in Ruby instead of "regular" TDD. Worth the read, if you're a software geek.
- Keyword Arguments Some further discourse on the whole lambda/block-syntax-in-Ruby 2.0 thang
- From RubyConf: Day 2 Brian McAllister also weighs in on the lambda creation syntax
- A history of continuation(s) From Shugo Maeda, who implemented continuations in Ruby. He links to a presentation from RubyConf about "Demystifying Continuations" as well, so if you're still in the dark as to these continuation things (like I am), then this is also a valuable read.
- NYT: Meet the Life Hackers Not Ruby-related, but interesting from a number of perspectives, especially user interface (at least, to me)
RubyConf Round-up
Some require significant scrolling to find the RubyConf content, but it is there. I am devouring it all, but it is a poor substitute for actual attendance. Alas.
- Jon Tirsen's blog
- Mundane Essays
- RubyConf 2005 Zenspider's collection of most of the presentations
- Late to the Party Another collection of links

Very interesting links.
Don't forget Planet RubyConf: http://rplanet.technomancy.us
