Sorry, everybody, for the delay in putting this up. I know the talk was Thursday and today's Saturday, but I have a good excuse... I had a helluva time keeping a net connection at the hotel and I've been kinda sick. Luckily the worst held off til I was home and had somebody to dote on me. My PowerBook troubles have seemed to disappear, so it must have been something about the Canadian air.

The presentation won't seem nearly as complete as the Interface Design Attacks! one simply because a significant portion of the time was taken up by a live demo. You can download the code and check it out for yourself:

You'll also need to download the latest Scriptaculous and the latest Prototype included in the Scriptaculous source trunk.

Nice presentation and demos. The MVC info just shed light on Rails for me in a needed way.

I should note: the test files didn't work on my server (textdrive) unless I commented out: #header('Response.Expires = 0'); in the backend file.

I'd love to see one example with database connectivity, too, just to complete the picture. But thanks, this is great.

It's the single best example of a Web 2 application I've seen to date, in terms of incorporating ajax, rss, and web services, but also creating something that falls back perfectly in the absence of JS support.

(At this very moment, Flickr is "having a massage", so that component of it doesn't work-- the next step with this app would be to have all the data cached locally...)
